A close-up view of one of our biggest enemies…

by Umm Muawiyah

Assalamu Alaikum.

This is that enemy that we battle every day.

Yes, brothers and sisters, EVERY day.

Every single day.

Our hands have tired in struggling against this enemy.

[Or perhaps I should have said, “Our index fingers have struggled?”]

Yes, we need to defeat this thing.

Just don’t ask me how…..

[Get a 19th century alarm clock perhaps?]

    Assalamualaikum,
I heard a speaker once saying that due to his weakness when it came to the alarm clock he started keeping it in the washroom, which meant that he would have to get inside the washroom to take if off, and once he’s in, there’s no turning back! I found that quite interesting. Haven’t tried it yet though.

      Wa Alaikum Assalam.

I have an alarm clock in my bathroom which I set every day.

Trust me, it does NOT work. At least not for me….

    Haha! Kamal el mekki recommended the following steps ;

1.keep the alarm clock at the other side of the room
    2. Once u get up rub ur eyes, start doing dhikr
    3. Then when u go all the way across the room to shut down the alarm it’d be foolish to go back to sleep

      Assalamu Alaikum.

Sigh. These don’t work for me because I do foolishly turn around and go back to sleep.
