Lecture: Trials – Gifts from Allah

by Umm Muawiyah

Assalamu Alaikum.

After the back-to-back article/audio double on the topic of Anger Management, someone asked me if I could do the same thing for the topic of trials.

So, after yesterday’s article on trials, today we have an audio on this topic.

Question to the readers: Would you like this to be a regular pattern? Should I try to post an audio on a topic and then post an article on the same topic the next day or vice versa?

Let me know your thoughts, insha-Allah.

So, here’s another reminder as to how beneficial trials are for us:

Trials – Gifts from Allah by Moutasem Al-Hameedy (Download)

[I only listened to a few minutes of the audio so I can’t comment but I generally enjoy all of Brother Moutasem’s lectures.]

A bonus: For all those of you who like this brother’s lectures, here’s his blog:

    Assalamu Alaikum

That was a really profound lecture, maashaaAllah. Listening to it again!

And yes, an audio lecture on a topic would be great too. Reading an article first and listening to the audio later, really reinforces certain points (well for me anyway).

Is it possible for you to start a series on the diseases of the heart inshaAllah? Also waiting for your Major Sins series (trying to be pushy here).

Plus you wanted to discuss those 3 ideas of yours…

Also, could you please provide us with the exact hadeeth that Brother Moutasem was talking about, when he mentioned that at the later stages of this Ummah, each person who holds on to the truth, will get 50 times the reward of a single companion.

      Jazakillahu khaira

        Assalamu Alaikum.

I found it but I need to double check the reference. Give me some more time, insha-Allah.

        Wa iyyaaki.

      Wa Alaikum Assalam.

The diseases of the heart could come under the Major sins series.

Well, I’ll try, insha-Allah. I need to do a lot of research on that before I begin….
